Trumpeter Jens Winther unveils his new direction!

Jazz trumpeter extraordinaire, composer and orchestra leader Jens Winther through his 28-year-career has cast his distinctive and legendary touch on Danish and world musical stages.

Just returned from a highly innovative two years on the road with his skilled ensemble--The Jens Winther European Quintet-- having performed world-wide in Australia, China, USA, Canada and many European jazz festivals, Jens Winther's enormous musical expression is ready for a change in direction.

JW~ELECTRAZZ is Jens Winther's star ship whereby his wish is to create--taking from his huge orchestrated catalog--to tailor these rich and complicated arrangements for a smaller ensemble.  This includes  feelings/impulses taken from the 60's & 70's era genres adapting/incorporating a fusion of the artistry of Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock and Weather Report while also including ethnic influences from India, Tibet and Brazil and not to be left out, Jens Winter's own unique, sensitive and bold universe of sound!

JW~ELECTRAZZ is the culmination of Jens Winter's past where his energy was divided between his vast orchestrational works on the one hand and his quintet music on the other now channeled into his highly personal new band.

JW~ELECTRAZZ talks to our heads, hearts, torsos and spirits in a strongly innovative and melodic picture, giving us for the first time Fantastic Futuristic Forays of Music bringing the elements of electric guitar and acoustic sound masterfully blended  to create Jens Winther's dream-come- true!
